1. Refund & Cancellation Policy

Refund & Returns Policy
At J&J Designs (Staffordshire) LTD,  

In-Store Purchases

For purchases made in-store, they are final; we do not offer refunds or exchanges for change-of-mind in-store purchases. It is the buyer's responsibility at the time of completing the sales agreement form to ensure that you are happy with your purchases. Check the items for any issues prior to purchasing. 

  • Change of mind: In most cases, you are not entitled to a refund or exchange if you simply change your mind about an in-store purchase, even a costly one, unless the retailer chooses to offer one.

  • Bespoke and custom items: Gowns made to measure or tailored to fit are often considered bespoke and are therefore usually non-refundable and non-cancellable.

Standard online orders

If you purchase online and the dress is standard stock (not customised or altered for you), you have a legal right to cancel your order under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

  • You must notify us within 7 days of receiving your order that you wish to cancel.

  • You then have a further 7 days to return the dress to us.

  • You are responsible for return postage costs.

  • Refunds will be made within 7 days of receiving the returned item or proof of posting.

2.2 Exceptions – where the cooling-off right does not apply

The 14-day cancellation right does not apply to:

  • Dresses that have been altered, tailored, or customised to your measurements or specifications;

  • Sample gowns were sold marked final sale, where this was clearly stated before purchase.

  • Items that are unsealed after delivery and not suitable for return for hygiene reasons (e.g. accessories such as underskirts or earrings tried on against the skin).

  • Accessories such as veils have been made to order. 

For these items, no refunds or exchanges are offered for change of mind, so please check sizing and condition carefully before completing your order.

Non-Refundable / Non-Returnable Items

  • Custom-made or personalised items

  • Digital/downloadable products

  • Gift cards

  • Clearance or final-sale items (where marked)

Cancellations
Orders may be cancelled within 24 hours of purchase, provided the order has not yet been dispatched. If your order has already been shipped, you may need to follow the returns process instead.

Include your name, order number and details of the item(s) you wish to return. We will respond with instructions on how to proceed.

Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If approved, your refund will be processed to your original method of payment within a reasonable time.

Return Shipping Costs
Unless the item is faulty or we have made an error, you are responsible for paying the shipping costs for returning your item.

2. Fulfilment & Shipping Policy

Order Processing Times
Orders are typically processed within 1–3 business days after payment is received. During busy periods, processing times may be slightly longer, and we will do our best to inform you of any delays.

Shipping Methods & Carriers
We primarily ship via Royal Mail and/or other reputable couriers. Available shipping options and prices will be shown at checkout.

Estimated Delivery Times

  • UK deliveries: usually 1–5 business days after dispatch

  • International deliveries (if offered): usually 5–14 business days after dispatch

These timeframes are estimates and may vary due to factors outside our control (e.g. postal delays, customs, weather).

Order Tracking
Where a tracked service is selected, tracking details will be provided in your dispatch confirmation email.

Delivery Issues (Lost, Delayed or Damaged Parcels)
If your order appears delayed, lost or arrives damaged, please first check the tracking information provided. You can then contact the carrier directly for an update.
After doing so, please get in touch with us at judyjjdesigns@yahoo.com so we can assist where possible.

J&J Designs (Staffordshire) LTD is not responsible for parcels that are marked as “delivered” by the carrier but are not received by the customer.

3. Terms & Conditions

3. Products & Descriptions
We make every effort to display products and colours as accurately as possible. However, actual colours may vary slightly due to monitor settings or materials.

4. Prices & Payment
All prices are shown in GBP (£) unless stated otherwise. We reserve the right to change prices at any time. Payment must be received in full before orders are processed and dispatched.

5. Order Acceptance
Your order constitutes an offer to purchase. We reserve the right to accept or decline any order at our discretion. If we cannot fulfil your order, we will notify you and issue a refund if payment has already been taken.

6. Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including text, images, graphics, logos and designs, is the property of J&J Designs (Staffordshire) LTD, unless otherwise stated. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content without our prior written permission.

7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, J&J Designs (Staffordshire) LTD shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with the use of our website or products.
